Peak Project

Located on a remarkable property in the Lake Tahoe area, Peak Project is a 6,300 Sq.Ft. primary residence for a nomadic local family, shaped by an exceptional natural setting. From the outset, the design was guided by the belief that the architecture could never surpass the beauty of the site itself. Instead, the home takes a restrained and respectful approach, allowing the landscape to remain the defining experience while fully supporting the rhythms and needs of daily life.

Perched on a granite outcropping, the residence is conceived as a low, linear form that settles into the topography and extends toward expansive views. Its primary axes orient to the natural pull of the exposed bedrock and defining natural elements, using the geology of the site as both anchor and generator of the design. The result is an architecture of quiet confidence—deeply connected to the land, responsive to its setting, and refined in its simplicity.
